      • Required: Interest in installing, maintaining, and troubleshooting network operating systems (LINUX, Win 2000 Professional), completion of IT Essentials I A+ certification Program or permission of Local Academy Coordinator

      • Pen, paper, journal (5 subject notebook), soft 3-ring binder, cd-rw
  • Standards
      • A >= 90%, B >= 80%, C >=70%, D >= 60%
      (All Students need 70% or above in all grading areas to receive certificate)

      Cisco Networking Academy IT Essentials II: Network Operating Systems Companion Guide,
      IT Essentials II: Network Operating Systems Engineering Journal & Workbook,
      IT Essentials II: Network Operating Systems Lab Companion.
  • Attendance Policy
      • Formal attendance recorded by instructor and will constitute 5% of final semester grade
  • Instructional Mode
      • Class sessions will include online curriculum, lecture, discussion, and hands-on labs. The intern helpdesk requires students to utilize their knowledge in real-life situations.
  • Independent Work
      • Students are expected to utilize their texts/online curriculum and additional materials given by the instructor on a nightly basis to reinforce concepts.
