Offering preparation for Certified Cisco Networking Associate (C.C.N.A), Introduction to Cisco Networking Technologies (INTRO) and Interconnecting Cisco Networking Devices (ICND) certifications

.....Academy students in our two year Cisco Networking program prepare for the international Certified Cisco Networking Associate (C.C.N.A.) certification. Students utilize an on-line curriculum and supportive materials such as the First Year or Second Year Cisco Networking Companion Guides for further content investigation, the Engineering Journal which provides vocabulary, content questions, practice tests and the Lab Companion which guides students with hands on networking labs and analysis. Students design networks through the use of Cisco Network Designer software, build network cables from scratch, learn to utilize network analysis software tools and become adept at using multi-meters and cable-meters for cable and jack testing. Students now have the option of becoming certified in Introduction to Cisco Networking Technologies (INTRO) at the completion of the first year and Interconnecting Cisco Networking Devices (ICND) upon the completion of the second year.

.....After graduating from Semesters I and II and receiving certificates and letters signed by Mr. John Chambers, C.E.O. of Cisco Corporation, Cisco students dig into the second year curriculum with the goal of completing the Certified Cisco Networking Associate (C.C.N.A.) preparation requirements. Before graduating from the first year of the C.C.N.A. program, students completed a hands-on skills exam in which they designed one network spread across five cities and programmed the accompanying network devices. Now they will build on their experiences by being introduced to ISDN services, network management, wide area networks (WANs), Protocols, Address Translations, Security Issues and Novell servers. Hands-on labs include programming five Cisco routers and two Cisco switches across a wide geographical area. Students utilize the on-line curriculum, on-line testing and on-line gradebook as well as the Second Year Companion Guide, Second Year Engineering Journal, Second Year Lab Companion and instructor supplied study guides. The year will end with a C.C.N.A. review of all topics covered in the two year curriculum and multiple practice exams in preparation of the C.C.N.A. certification exam.exam.
