Offering preparation for Certified Cisco Networking Associate (C.C.N.A), Introduction to Cisco Networking Technologies (INTRO) and Interconnecting Cisco Networking Devices (ICND) certifications

  • Prerequisites
    • Required: Completion of HP Essentials I certification preparation program or permission of Local Academy Coordinator.

      Helpful: A+ Certification; Microsoft Office skills; problem solving skills; introductory programming or multimedia courses; introductory electronics.

      CCNA Exploration Semester I - Networking Fundamentals

      CCNA Exploration Semester III - LAN Switching and Wireless
      CCNA Exploration Semester IV - Accessing the WAN

  • Required Materials
    • Journal (5 subject notebook), soft 3-ring binder, cd-rw
  • Standards
    • A >= 90%, B >= 80%, C >=70%, D >= 60%
  • Attendance Policy
    • Formal attendance recorded by instructor and will constitute 5% of final semester grade
  • Instructional Mode
    • Class sessions will include online curriculum, lecture, discussion, and hands-on labs and analysis and journal writing
  • Independent Work
    • Students are expected to utilize their texts and additional materials given by the instructor and/or on-line curriculum on a nightly basis to reinforce concepts
